Exclusion Criteria
- Applications that do not serve or plan to address specific needs related to the cancer community will not be reviewed
- Applicants may not submit a grant application relating to a program for which funding is already being provided by Bayer
- Employees of Bayer, VOZ, and other vendors or members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible
- Review panel members and their organizations are not eligible
- The review panel reserves the right to exclude submissions that could be perceived as being too closely aligned with either themselves or Bayer and its interests
- Payment will not be made to individuals; for healthcare professionals, payment can be made to an institution. Individuals, or other companies interested in applying will need to partner with a non-profit or other organization
- Funding provided to the selected applicant will not cover indirect costs
- The review panel will select two programs to receive a grant of $50,000 USD each or the equivalent in the applicants' local currency
- The review panel’s decision will be final, and no appeals will be permitted
- Successful applicants will receive a grant request letter and be asked to countersign a copy of Bayer’s Terms and Conditions before receiving the funds. (These relate to the provision of unrestricted grants for scientific or educational use.)
- Proposed initiatives should be initiated within 6 months of receiving funds
- Grant recipients should provide a full report 1 year after receiving funds and/or at the end of the program, and describe what the project achieved. If special dispensation is required, this should be agreed upon at the start
- Successful applicant names/institutions will be published on this website and publicly disclosed information will be shared with the cancer community
